Payment Links
Payment links allow you to send a direct, secure payment link to a customer so they can pay online without needing to log in to the Customer Portal. This is useful for collecting payments quickly via email or messaging.
Navigate to: Vaylo Pay → Payment Links
Overview
The Payment Links page displays all payment links that have been created, including their status and associated booking or amount.
Payment link statuses:
- Active — link is live and the customer can pay
- Paid — payment has been completed
- Expired — link has passed its expiry date
- Inactive — link has been manually deactivated
Create a Payment Link
- Click Create Payment Link
- Fill in the required details:
| Field | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Booking | Yes | Select the booking this payment is for |
| Amount | Yes | The amount the customer should pay |
| Currency | Yes | Currency for the payment |
| Expiry date | Yes | Date after which the link will no longer work |

Payment links are single-use. Once a payment is completed the link becomes inactive automatically.
Send a Payment Link
After creating a payment link you can:
- Copy the link and paste it into an email or message manually
- Send directly by email — click the email icon next to the link to send it to the passenger's registered email address
The customer does not need to log in to pay — the link takes them directly to a secure payment page.
Payment Methods
Customers can pay using the payment methods enabled for your account through Vaylo Pay:
- Card payment — logged in Fortnox as "Vaylo Payment with Card"
- Swish — logged in Fortnox as "Vaylo Payment with Swish"
All payments made via payment links are recorded automatically in:
- The booking's Payments tab → Transactions
- The Fortnox log (if Fortnox integration is active)
- The Transactions module
Deactivate a Payment Link
If you need to cancel a payment link before it has been used:
- Find the link in the list
- Click Deactivate
The link will immediately stop working. The customer will see an error if they try to open it.
