Payment Links

Payment links allow you to send a direct, secure payment link to a customer so they can pay online without needing to log in to the Customer Portal. This is useful for collecting payments quickly via email or messaging.

Navigate to: Vaylo Pay → Payment Links

Overview

The Payment Links page displays all payment links that have been created, including their status and associated booking or amount.

Payment link statuses:

  • Active — link is live and the customer can pay
  • Paid — payment has been completed
  • Expired — link has passed its expiry date
  • Inactive — link has been manually deactivated

  1. Click Create Payment Link
  2. Fill in the required details:
FieldRequiredDescription
BookingYesSelect the booking this payment is for
AmountYesThe amount the customer should pay
CurrencyYesCurrency for the payment
Expiry dateYesDate after which the link will no longer work
DescriptionNoInternal note about the purpose of this link
  1. Click Create
  2. Copy the generated link and send it to the customer via email, SMS or any other channel
Note

Payment links are single-use. Once a payment is completed the link becomes inactive automatically.

After creating a payment link you can:

  • Copy the link and paste it into an email or message manually
  • Send directly by email — click the email icon next to the link to send it to the passenger's registered email address

The customer does not need to log in to pay — the link takes them directly to a secure payment page.

Payment Methods

Customers can pay using the payment methods enabled for your account through Vaylo Pay:

  • Card payment — logged in Fortnox as "Vaylo Payment with Card"
  • Swish — logged in Fortnox as "Vaylo Payment with Swish"

All payments made via payment links are recorded automatically in:

  • The booking's Payments tab → Transactions
  • The Fortnox log (if Fortnox integration is active)
  • The Transactions module

If you need to cancel a payment link before it has been used:

  1. Find the link in the list
  2. Click Deactivate

The link will immediately stop working. The customer will see an error if they try to open it.
