Anonymise personal data (GDPR)
To support GDPR processes — in particular the right to erasure — customers can be anonymised in Vaylo without removing their bookings. Every field that could identify the individual is cleared, while the booking and statistical records remain intact for reporting.
Where it lives
Open the customer record in the Admin Panel → Anonymise.
Key capabilities
- Permanently anonymise an individual's identifying data
- Keep the underlying booking, payment, and tour history for statistics and accounting
- Cover free-text fields, identity numbers, attached PDFs, and payment payloads in a single action

Anonymising a customer
Steps:
- Open the customer record.
- Click Anonymise.
- Confirm the action in the dialog.
- The fields listed above are cleared or deleted immediately.
⚠️ Important: Anonymisation is permanent and irreversible. Once a customer's data has been anonymised, it cannot be restored. Use this action only for verified deletion requests.
📝 Note: Bookings, invoices, and aggregate reports that reference the anonymised customer continue to work — they just no longer contain the personal data needed to identify the individual.
