Itinerary Tab

Navigate to: Bookings → [select booking] → Itinerary tab

The Itinerary tab is used to build a complete travel plan for each passenger. It is primarily used for Without tour (FIT) bookings.

Flights

Click + Add passenger flight to add a flight. Use + Add line for multiple flights. Use the Use passengers field to assign a flight to specific passengers.

Hotels

Click + Add a hotel to add hotel accommodation. Fill in hotel name, check-in, check-out and room details.

Others

Use for additional items such as transfers, car rentals or special event tickets. Click + Add other.

Others segments — product codes and name field

The Others segment supports product codes the same way hotel segments do. You can either select a configured product code or enter free text in the Name column.

Steps

  1. In the Itinerary tab, add (or open) an Others segment.
  2. In the Name column (first column of the Others section), either:
    • Choose a configured product code from the dropdown — the segment inherits the product's type classification, supplier, location, descriptions, and any attached files; or
    • Type a free-text name if no product code applies.
  3. Fill in the remaining segment fields and save.
tip

Use product codes whenever the same service appears repeatedly across bookings — it saves typing, keeps naming consistent, and lets you reuse the product's translations and attachments.

Packages

Packages group multiple itinerary segments under a single line item. They support a fixed total price (with an auto-generated markup fee) and a per-unit price for clearer customer communication.

Setting a package total price (markup fee)

You can set a fixed total price for a package and let Vaylo handle the markup automatically. When you set a package total, a Package Markup fee segment is generated and linked to the package, with the markup amount calculated as the difference between the package total and the sum of the underlying segments.

Steps

  1. Open the FIT booking and go to the Itinerary tab.
  2. In the package row, enter the desired package total price in the package-total field.
  3. Vaylo automatically creates a Package Markup fee segment linked to that package. The amount on the segment is the difference between the package total and the sum of the underlying segments.
  4. To adjust the markup, change the package total — the fee segment recalculates.
  5. To remove the markup, clear the package total — the Package Markup fee segment is removed.
note

The Package Markup fee segment is always hidden from the customer itinerary, so the customer only sees the package total.

tip

VAT on the Package Markup segment defaults to the booking's basics VAT setting. Override it on the segment if a different VAT class is needed.

caution

Package markup pricing applies to FIT bookings only.

Units and price per unit

Packages can cover multiple units (for example, multiple passengers or multiple rooms). Set the unit count and let Vaylo compute the per-unit price for clearer customer communication.

Steps

  1. In the package row in the itinerary tab, set Units to the number of units the package covers (default is 1).
  2. The Unit price column updates automatically and shows the per-unit cost.
  3. Save the itinerary.
note

Both Units and Unit price are included in booking PDFs under the antal (units) and pris vardera (price per unit) columns.

Supplements

Add or manage supplements for the booking. Click + Add supplement and fill in name, category, quantity and price.

tip

The sticky row at the bottom shows Total cost, Total price and Total profit at all times.
